This release is more than just a version bump. It represents a shift in how Duplicati helps you protect your data - moving beyond just local files to securing your entire digital life, from cloud productivity suites to immutable storage.

What’s New in 2.3?

We’ve packed this release with features, including one that make the "3-2-1 backup rule" easier than ever to achieve:

• Office 365 & Google Workspace Support: You can now back up your entire cloud tenant. Whether it's emails, Drive/OneDrive files, or Teams data, Duplicati has you covered for just $0.50 per user/month.

• Multiple Destinations: Why choose one cloud? You can now configure a single backup job to send data to multiple destinations simultaneously.

• Ransomware Protection (Immutability): With remote file locking on supported backends (like S3, B2, or Azure), your backups can be made "immutable," meaning they cannot be deleted or changed for a set period, even if your system is compromised.

• Windows Folder Status: At-a-glance icon overlays in Windows Explorer now show you exactly which files are backed up and safe.

We’re Cutting Console Prices (By Over 50%)

We want the Duplicati Console to be the go-to management tool for everyone, from home labs to small businesses. To make that a reality, we’re making our professional features significantly more affordable.

New Pricing:

• Yearly Plan: Reduced from $5 to $2 per machine/month.

• Monthly Plan: We now also offer monthly plans for $2.50 per machine/month.

If you are an existing paid subscriber, you don’t need to do anything. We have automatically moved you to the lower rate for the next billing cycle.

Professional Tools for Subscribers

Lowering the price doesn't mean we’re slowing down. We’ve added a suite of new features to the Console subscription to give you better oversight of your data:

• Backup Logs: View deep-dive technical logs for every operation.

• Advanced Monitoring: Real-time status updates and alerts.

• Remote Management: Manage your Duplicati instance from within the console.

• Configuration Links: Deploy settings to new machines instantly.

• Multi-User Access: Grant your team or family access to manage your console.

Changes to the Free Plan

As we expand our features, we are refocusing our Free Plan to better serve individual users with small, local setups. The Free Plan now supports up to 2 machines and no longer includes remote management via the console.

We know change can be a hassle, so we are providing a 30-day grace period for all existing free users. If you have more than 2 machines or rely on remote management, you’ll have a full month to adjust your setup or take advantage of our new lower-cost plans. (Need more time?
