Duplicati 2.4 Stable is officially live, superseding version 2.3.0.4 and consolidating all changes and features from the 2.3.1.x beta channel. This major update introduces landmark capabilities - including full-disk imaging, parity error correction, and a dedicated unencrypted sync mode - alongside hardened security standards.

Sync Copy Mode

A major addition for users needing simple, unencrypted file replication. Unlike standard backups, Sync Mode performs lightweight one-way file copying directly from source to target without compression or deduplication overhead. It fully supports remote targets, multi-destination backups, and filesystem snapshots.

Cross-Platform Full Disk Backup

Full-disk imaging expands beyond Windows to support Linux and macOS. You can now perform raw disk and partition-level backups and restores—including partition tables—across all major operating systems (requires administrative privileges).

PAR2 Bit-Rot Protection

Integrate automated parity data into your remote volumes to defend against back-end bit rot and silent corruption. Install par2 on your host and enable --parity-module=par2 to generate and upload repair files alongside remote volumes.
