Real-Time Monitoring: Track Live Backup Progress in Duplicati Console
Keeping track of active backups across your environment just got easier with live progress monitoring directly on the Duplicati Console Machine Overview. Upgrade your client nodes to the latest Canary or Beta release today to view real-time progress bars and completion percentages at a glance.
Managing backups across multiple machines means staying on top of what is running, what finished, and what might be taking longer than expected. Keeping track of active jobs across your fleet just got significantly easier: Duplicati Console now supports live backup progress monitoring directly from the Machine Overview screen.
Instead of relying solely on post-job notifications or remoting into individual client instances to check on long-running tasks, you can now monitor active operations centrally in real time.
What’s New on the Dashboard
When a managed machine starts a backup task, the Machine Overview updates automatically to reflect the active state. The interface now features:
Live Progress Bar: A visual indication of the current backup operation as it processes data.
Percentage View: Real-time percentage completion tracking so you know exactly how far along a job is at a glance.
Automatic Updates: No manual setup or dashboard toggles required; active backups display their progress automatically once supported clients connect.
This update brings true centralized visibility to your backup operations, making it effortless to identify active jobs, monitor large data transfers, and confirm that scheduled tasks are executing smoothly across your entire environment.
Version Requirements
To take advantage of live progress reporting in the console, your managed Duplicati client nodes must be running a compatible build:
Canary Release: Version
2.3.0.109or newerBeta Release: Version
2.3.1.0or newer
Once you update the client software on a machine to one of these releases (or higher), it will automatically begin streaming live status updates to the Duplicati Console whenever a job starts.
How to Get Started
Update your clients: Ensure your target machines are running Canary 2.3.0.109+ or Beta 2.3.1.0+.
Verify connection: Ensure the updated clients are connected to your Duplicati Console account.
Monitor live: Start a backup manually or wait for a scheduled task, then open the Machine Overview to view progress bars and percentages in real time.
Upgrading your client nodes gives you the immediate, accurate insights required for effortless, single-pane backup management.
